New Pool!

Sadly, our old pool sprung a leak. We went and bought a bigger, deeper pool last night. Daddy surprised Thomas and had it all ready after naptime.

The biggest reason we needed a new pool...Momma doesn't like to be hot. I consider it torture to sit in the heat and watch a child splash in a pool. So, now there is room for me to join in the fun. Sadly, I think this is the biggest pool Alan will agree to for us :(

Another Busy Weekend

We had a nice long weekend with friends and family. Spent some time with our good friend, and Thomas' Godfather, Hasky at his parents lake house. We were finally able to meet his girlfriend, Holly, and really like her. Very nice girl. Thomas was enamored with her. Thomas enjoyed his first ever boat ride.

Saturday was the 25th annual Asiala Open golf scramble. Alan's parents have been hosting this event for all 25 years. It is a lot of work but a ton of fun.

Confusion?

So, I guess we are going to keep putting money away in the college fund. That is, unless a sport comes along where you put a basketball on a baseball tee and hit it with a golf club. If it does, we'll be on top of it.

A Zoo of a Good Time

I am love, love, loving spending time with my gal pal, Kris, this summer. Added bonus, Thomas and Sam are becoming great buds as well. We went to the zoo today and had a great time!

Sam was brave enough to feed the giraffes. This is the coolest thing about Binder Park Zoo. They have a great platform for interacting with the giraffes.

Crazy Bouncin'

We went to Crazy Bounce this morning for toddler time. Thomas had a great time running and jumping, but was scared of the slides today. We met 4 other moms and 7 kids there. As if that weren't enough, we also took all the kids to lunch as well. Whew! Thomas is napping and I am thoroughly enjoying a little peace and quiet.

Sunday Mornings

The Sunday paper is a big deal around here. We love the ads. Thomas gets as excited as we do. He likes the auto section, the Menards ad, and any random tool/tractor ads. That's our boy. Thought this was especially cute.

Last week, Thomas and his dad had a pretty interesting conversation over the Menards ad.

Alan: What are you reading Thomas?
Thomas: I need a grill and a ladder.
Alan: A grill and a ladder?
Thomas: Yeah, and a flashlight too.

Notice the underwear? Thomas is potty trained! We are really proud of how quickly he caught on. He has had 1 accident in the last 2 weeks. He still wears a diaper at night, Alan and I aren't ready to give that up yet :) We still have a case of diapers left, so we are going to use them up and then re-evaluate the night time issue.

Beachin'

My first trip to the beach with Thomas this summer. It was a bit windy, which made it cool, but Thomas had a great time. We met Laura, Kyle, and Erin there.

Thomas and Kyle braved the COLD water. Laura and I weren't even brave enough to sit out in our swimsuits. Erin played happily on the blanket, snacking and drinking.
