Happy Halloween

We trick-or-treated with the Ayotte's again this year. The boys had a good time walking all over town in search of treats. Thomas is still very afraid of masks and would not go and get candy from people wearing them. Maybe next year?

Pumpkin Carving

Thomas and I carved our pumpkins tonight. He was really into it this year. It was a lot of fun for both of us.

I assisted with drawing the face a little and he carved it all by himself.
The finished product. Pretty good carving for a not quite 4 year old.

W.I.L.D.

Walking in Loving Discipleship. This is a group we have been going to since the beginning of the school year. It meets on Wednesday nights at the First Congregational Church. Every Wednesday there is a dinner, an activity, and a message from scripture. A good friend of ours, Laura, is one of the leaders and many of T's friends go as well.



This past Wednesday, we packed up all of the W.I.L.D. crew and ventured out to the Crane Orchards Corn Maze. It was a lot of fun. I had never done a corn maze before. It was a lot harder than I thought it would have been. We walked around in the corn for a little less than an hour before finding our way to the bridge and then to the exit. Left to right on the bridge, Camborley, Thomas, Romy, Sasha, and Kitty.

Making Due

The excavating company delivered some gravel for Alan's new pole building. Thomas just couldn't resist climbing up and digging this pile. After a little exploration in the garage he returned with his sled. He had a good time sledding down the gravel hill. The perfect way to make due. He has been wanting to go sledding and just doesn't get why it isn't snowing yet.

Pumpkin Patch Pit Stop

Another gorgeous Fall day. My kind of weather. On the way home from work/daycare Thomas and I decided to make a pit stop at the local pumpkin patch. Hence the clothing oddities. I am in work clothes and he is in his pajamas (it was jammie day).He found the perfect little one to take to daycare....

... and a bigger one for carving.
These nice days are numbered. Take advantage of them while they last - even if you are in your jammies.

Weekend Project

We undertook a rather large project this weekend. With the help of our family and friends we built another garage. It's 16' x 24' and will store all of our extra stuff. Like Alan's boat, lawn junk, and other stuff that Alan deems necessary. :) Thursday evening: A little fun with the power auger. They had to dig 11 holes that were 48" deep each.

A job well done. The guys worked long and hard today. At 6pm they had accomplished a ton.

Apple Choosing

We wanted to pick apples, but the apples were too early this year. Instead, we drank wine...

went on a hayride....

scooped corn....

rode bikes....

and picked our apples out of a wooden crate. We came home with a huge bag of apples, a gallon of cider, warm donuts, half a case of wine, and lots of memories.

Fire Safety

We never miss a chance to hang out with Uncle Mike and the firetrucks. Yesterday, we joined the Fenton Community Fire Department at Home Depot for their fire safety event. Thomas was super excited to wear his fire chief costume.

Thomas got to build his own fire boat. Grammy helped with all the nailing.
