Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Oddly enough, I don't actually have any pictures of any dads from this day. Alan golfed with his dad after we got back from camping with mine. The following are from the afternoon that Thomas and I spent with Grandma. Downtown Midland has a wonderful splashpad. Thomas really enjoyed himself, despite some watery surprises.

Tapeworm?

So, either Thomas has a tapeworm or is going to have a major growth spurt. This is his menu from today. Yesterdays menu was very similar.

Breakfast
Small bowl of fruit loops with milk

3/4 orange

apple juice

Snack on the way to swim class

Snack on the way to daycare from swim class (fyi, swim is only 30 minutes)

Snack at home (just after getting home from Carol's, where he had just had a snack)
2 string cheeses

Snack (that he requested promptly after clearing his plate from the table)
Trail mix

Yes, the cheese count today is 4 string cheeses and some cheddar. Good thing he ate lots of fruit to help balance it out!

And-it is only 5:55. We still have 2 more hours to eat...

A Real Zoo!

Another great weekend. We went to visit the Sias family and had loads of fun (like always). It seems like each time we see each other the boys get along even better. Good stuff! As if playing at their house, having a bbq, and letting the kids play in the water wasn't enough - we also went to the zoo. They are members at the Brookfield Zoo. We tagged along and checked it out as well.

A Zoo of Sorts....

We had plans to go to the zoo today. But, it rained. So instead we went to the Air Zoo. A co-worker informed me that admission is free all summer. Plus, kids 0-4 get on all the rides for free. Now that's my idea of a good deal.

We had a great time at the Air Zoo and an even better time getting caught up with our friends. Kris is Thomas's godmother and I am Sam's. We spent a ton of time together when they lived in South Haven. They have since moved to Portage and we miss them terribly.

Thomas loved riding this airplane ride.

Sam is not in pain. He is going through this real "ham" phase and that is his smile. When he is looking directly at the camera it's cute. Here, it looks like Kris is pinching him.

Thomas and Sam had a great time playing together today.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day and 7th Wedding Anniversary to my wonderful husband. We had a great, but busy weekend. Went to visit family. My dad had surgery last week so we made many trips up to the hospital to visit grandpa. Thomas loved riding in the elegator. Grandpa is recovering well and went home yesterday.

Thomas got to spend lots of time with Grandma and keeps talking about the park she took him too. Apparently, it made quite the impact.

Jumping on the trampoline at my Aunt Tina's house. This was right up T's alley, and is was hard to get him to leave after he discovered it. We had a great bbq at their house on Sunday.

Zoo

We went to Binder Park zoo this morning. The weather was a bit cool, and at times rainy, but we had a lot of fun. We bought a membership and plan on visiting the zoo often this summer. They have a really cool African Safari boardwalk, where you can see giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and others grazing. There is also a lookout where you can feed the giraffes little crackers. Thomas liked seeing the giraffe up close, but did not want to touch its long tongue.
